The Whole Picture No.3

The Whole Picture No.3 is an acrylic painting cut into 25 pieces. Each piece has been given an identifying code as to its place in the picture. Each piece is an individual painting, but it is also part of a greater whole. The pieces will each be “picked” during Art Grows on Trees, part of the E17 Art Trail 2012. Perhaps one day they will be re-united and the recipients can see the whole picture.

Acrylic on Fabriano paper, Julie Caves 22x30inches.

Walthamstow Poetry Trail and Anthology

I illustrated a gorgeous poem by Julie Ridlington for the Walthamstow Poetry Trail. But an administrative error caused the illustration to be left out. The poems were shown in the windows of participating estate agents along Hoe St. Walthamstow’s very own fine letterpress printers Paekakariki Press has published an anthology of the poems. For those of you wondering about the empty space on the page below the poem here is what should have been there:
The illustration by Julie Caves intended for Julie Ridlington's poem 'She Calls Me Love'

You could print this out and paste it into the blank space in your anthology :-)

I contributed a piece created from a £1.49 England Supporter Teddy Bear from the Oxfam shop on Walthamstow High Street.

The artwork is titled Teddy Bird.
